The final 6 boats left in the Inaugural Eastern Asia Offshore Race are now making good progress towards Tainan, the destination of their 350 nautical miles journey.

Jinn and Neo One suffered from forestay and jib damage and turned back to Hong Kong on Friday together with Lisa Elaine before the second night of the race with the three boats reporting all crew as safe.

Zesst
For the remaining 6 boats, they finally reached the area with wind curling through Luzon Strait enjoying a reaching leg. As of 1400hrs, Fenice is only 42nm away from Tainan, they are looking promising for taking Line Honours and the race record of this inaugural race. Parnassus is 17nm behind Fenice, with Zesst and 2Easy breathing down their neck, both smaller boats could challenge Fenice for IRC 1st Place Overall depending on their final approach to Tainan.

The remaining two boats, Chinese Taipei entry Gutsy and Korean entry Random() are more than 100 nm away and are currently on course to arrive in Tainan on Sunday evening or the early hours on Monday.
